License and attribution

Gao&Blaze is released under the GNU AGPL 3.0 license for the code and under the Creative Commons BY-SA 4.0 license for the other creations: all these elements may be freely used, modified and shared, as long as you cite its authors and publish any derivative works under a similar license.

“Gao&Blaze”, “Gao & Blaze”, “Gao and Blaze”, “Gao y Blaze” and “Gao et Blaze” are registered trademarks.

Additional terms to the AGPL v3 license

  • Additional Term 1

Under the following provisions of the license:

“ b) Requiring preservation of specified reasonable legal notices or author attributions in that material or in the Appropriate Legal Notices displayed by works containing it; or

c) Prohibiting misrepresentation of the origin of that material, or requiring that modified versions of such material be marked in reasonable ways as different from the original version; or […]”

It is prohibited to modify and redistribute the software in such a way that the authorship of the software, graphics and text elements of the original version is not made explicit upon launching the software. It is therefore forbidden, for example, to remove or hide the initial presentation screen, or the final credit page of the game presenting La Boussole and the institutions and partners who contributed to the software (non-exhaustive examples).

  • Additional Term 2

Under the following provisions of the license:

“ d) Limiting the use for publicity purposes of names of licensors or authors of the material; or [. . .]”

The names of the authors and contributors of the game may not be used for publicity purposes of a modified version of the software or other derivative work without their consent.

  • Additional Term 3

Under the following provisions of the license:

“(e) Declining to grant rights under trademark law for use of some trade names, trademarks, or service marks; or [. . .]”

You may not use the names “Gao&Blaze”, “Gao & Blaze”, “Gao and Blaze”, “Gao y Blaze” or “Gao et Blaze” in any modified version of the Software or other derivative work without explicit permission.
